International Reggae Day (IRD), the annual JulyOne calendar event, is a 24-hour global media event and lifestyle festival hosted by Kingston, the Home of Jamaican Music.  IRD 2017 is proud to Salute the Art of Dub, a genre whose contribution to the Sounds of Jamaica is immeasurable as its innovative style continues to resonate globally, significantly extending the universal appeal and impact of Jamaican music.

International Reggae Day and participating media partners will showcase the genre and the art form, highlighting the innovators and poets who have propelled Dub as movement, vibration and consciousness, into a worldwide phenomenon originating in Kingston, Jamaica the creative mecca which has extensively influenced global culture.

Dub music is an innovative slice of the Jamaican sound first served by the talented engineers who pioneered the version and took center stage as lead artistes on the explosive new recording style.
